Healthy Recipes

Nutrition is very important for everyone and does wonders for our bodies and minds! I advocate a “Qualitiarian Diet”: a diet full of real, whole, unprocessed foods with lots of color and nutrients, and choosing the best quality food available. Choosing foods that are rich in lean protein, complex low-glycemic carbohydrates, and healthy fats, as well as consuming a variety of fruits and veggies on a daily basis. Having healthy recipes and ideas will help you implement this! 🙂

I advocate for avoiding packaged, processed (junk) foods that are full of white flours, white sugars, sodium, preservatives, artificial ingredients, additives and inflammatory oils/fats.

I strive to make of my recipes are are made from the simplest ingredients possible. The easier, the better! Most are sugar free/low sugar, gluten free, lower in carbs, and high in protein. I avoid using conventional white refined sugars, white and refined flours, inflammatory oils and fats, and conventional dairy when possible.

Instead of using fake sweeteners (like Splenda or Sweet and Low) I prefer to use granulated erythritol as my sweetener of choice for baking. I like Swerve and Anthony’s brand. I also like organic stevia extract used in small amounts (like in a coffee).

Eating whole, healthy quality foods is a lifestyle, not just a short term diet. Once you eliminate the processed foods and fake food products, you will realize how satisfying real whole foods are.  You will start to feel, look and function better and enjoying your meals while reaching your health goals is possible!

Recipe Guide:

GF: Grain and Gluten Free

DF: Dairy Free (but not egg free)

LC: Low carb/Keto Friendly

SF: Sugar Free

Paleo: Grain, gluten and dairy free

Vegan: void of all animal products (dairy and eggs included)

Note: Those recipes made with Oat flour are not grain free, but technically gluten free, as oats do not contain gluten. If using oats, make sure to use old-fashioned, organic non-GMO brands (I like Nature’s Basket).
