Proper Nutrition is very important for everyone and does wonders for our bodies and minds! I advocate eating “clean”: a diet full of real, unprocessed foods with lots of color and nutrients.  Choosing foods that are rich in lean protein, complex low-glycemic carbohydrates, and healthy unsaturated fats, as well as consuming fruits,veggies, and low fat dairy on a daily basis. A Clean Diet avoids all packaged, processed foods that are full of sugar, sodium, preservatives, and unhealthy ingredients. The Grocery List under Health Tips has all the different foods that follow a clean diet. Rule of Thumb: Try to eat as much REAL food as possible 🙂

All of my recipes are “clean” and are made from the simplest ingredients possible. The easier, the better! Most are sugar free, gluten free, lower in carbs, and high in protein. I avoid using sugar, salt, butter and oil as much as possible.

Forewarning: These do not taste like your typical store-bought goods and restaurant meals. Eating clean is a lifestyle, not just a short term diet. Once you eliminate the processed foods, you will realize how satisfying clean foods are.  Feel free to make substitutions based on your preferences and needs; however, the nutrition will change accordingly.
